Hi all,

Just letting you know that we're holding a Family Day at Dulwich Picture Gallery on Sunday 15 April, and we hope you can join us!

Inspired by the Great Outdoors and artist David Milne, this is a chance to enjoy workshops on surviving and making art in the wild on the final day of the Easter holidays.

Decorate tents and turn them into homes, try mindfulness with a local yogi, create prints, drawings and wooden badges inspired by nature, listen to folk tales from Canada, and much more. All ages welcome!

  Ah, thanks, it all comes flooding back. I've actually been to the Hastings shop, I'd forgotten all about it, along with her name! Didn't she (in between?) take over what was then The Magnolia, previously The Magdala, now The Lordship, with her then partner? Or is that some figment of my imagination? In fact, didn't they transform it from The Magdala (much missed) to The Magnolia? With flowery wallpaper covering the front of the bar? Which reminds me of the pub's brief period after The Magnolia as the ill-conceived and ill-fated The Patch.

  A belated recommendation for Iain and Paul od Oddbods who came to help me with various jobs before Christmas. Painting ceiling, renewing silicone around bath, repairing a window sill which was almost beyond repair and hanging a large mirror. Very happy with their work and they are friendly and very reliable and excellent at communicating. No hesitation in recommending them.
