On eBay. Local collection near Forest Hill Road.

This is a mid 90's Kona Cinder Cone Race Light with Project 2 forks.

It has an XT rear mech, and Sachs triple front mech with LX shifters.

Brakes are XT V brakes front and rear, it originally had Curve cantilevers. Brake levers are Shimano ServoWave.

It has the original Velocity aluminium quill stem with Impact headset. Chainset is the original Sugino Impel triple with 175mm cranks. Rims are Mavic 317 & 221 on LX rear and Kona front hub. Seat post is a Push with a Selle Italia saddle.

In all it is a bit of a mix of original and replacement components.

The frame is tatty with patches of surface rust and needs refinishing but it has no major defects. It has not been used for about 6/7 years and before that was used for commuting.

This would make a great project based on the original steel frame, which is a classic double butted rigid steel frame with the triple butted rigid Project 2 forks. I don't have the time to do this.

    • Well I did say I stand to be corrected! Fair enough, their website only seemed to list three branches. Perhaps it's a franchise model?  It's known as 'agglomeration' in economics Rookie error.
    • I didn't know there was a word for that — thanks!
    • This is just normal business behaviour. That's why there are so many coffee shops in ED and shops selling gifts and interiors stuff, clothes, restaurants.  If there's more than one business of a similar type then it can benefit all of them up to a saturation point and keep up quality. It's all sounding like many think Chango has made a malicious move when it actually sounds like it's owned by one guy who has a good business that has done well.   Anyway this is all great advertising for both empanada places. Very close by is the organic grocer who sells really good value and very tasty samosas and other Indian snacks which are also worth trying.
