mandymaz
We have an opening at the top of our stairs of 68cm.As far as I can see the extra narrow stair gates are from 61cm - 67.5cm and the narrow ones are from 68.5cm. Therefore we are right in the middle!Has anyone else come across this problem? I have no idea which one to get.ThanksMandy Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/18945-narrow-stair-gate-problem/ Share on other sites
cff9
hi, we had one with fixings that were sort of sprung so it was able to stretch to whatever size needed - I think it was probably from Mothercare, but was ages ago....It was good, but not massively strong - it was ok for us though. Maybe have a look - it was a grey collapsible frame , with a grey fabric centre - I think we chose it as it was the only that fitted in the weird space....probably planned to get soemthing more solid then never got round to it.... mandymaz
Great, thank you - I'll check it out. Hopefully they still do it! Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/18945-narrow-stair-gate-problem/#findComment-463909 Share on other sites
Norfolkvillas
The lascal kiddiguard retractable ones would fit any narrow width. If you're interested in a brand new one, I have one to sell, still boxed (bought two, only needed one in the end). Norfolkvillas
Hi Mandymaz, I found a special offer and paid somewhere in the region of ?75 (think they're usually closer to ?90) and I would ideally like what I paid for it, as it hasn't even been opened. I would be happy to drop it over to you (assuming you're local-ish to SE22) tonight or over the weekend if you'd like it?I can really recommend this particular type of gate - unobtrusive, as stylish as a stairgate can be, and no trip hazards.Anyway, just let me know if you'd like it?Amber Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/18945-narrow-stair-gate-problem/#findComment-464372 Share on other sites
mandymaz
Thanks Amber. It's out of our price range unfortunately but I'm sure you'll be able to sell it if you put it on the classifieds page.
