GrahamP
Alice,Could be the fan slowing down or fluff/dust clogging the cooling fins. Check for decent air flow through the laptop.Graham Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/18974-my-laptop-keeps-cutting-out-help/#findComment-464504 Share on other sites

Loz
Is your cooling fan on all the time? If so it is probably the cooling system.A quick blast with a can of air helps. If you don't have one, sticking the vacuum nozzle on the air outlets/inlets for 10 secs or so can often help. DulwichFox
Do not use a Vaccumm cleaner. it is far to powerfull and could damage the fan. Also can generate high levels of static which could damage sensitive conponets in your laptop. That is purpose built.. Not everyone has one to hand. I think Loz was suggesting domestic model. 2000-3000 watt domestic vacuumm cleaner is not suitable.. Fox Electo-mechanical / Computer Technician.
