We're back! Creative kids' code club at Bellenden Road Scout Hut

Recommended Posts

Did you know coding is on the curriculum from 5+?

MAMA.codes offers fun and creative after-school coding clubs and holiday workshops for ages 3-8, that support the Computing curriculum.

Our unique approach to teaching coding and computational thinking is the ideal launchpad for young children. We use storytelling and jokes to build fluency, plus plenty of ?unplugged? physical coding games. See examples at www.mama.codes/gallery

We use tablet-based free coding app ScratchJr - so it's helpful, though not essential, if children bring an iPad or Android tablet with them. Children learn generic coding concepts they can then transfer to any other coding language.

FREE TRIAL session available before booking a block of sessions. Sibling and Referral discounts. Info and booking here: https://www.kidsorted.com/seller/partner/3044/mamacodes-peckham/

What kids say:

?The best class ever!?

What parents say:

?Best thing we've done for ages ? thanks so much!?

?The girls loved it and were busy with their projects for an hour and a half in the car.?

    • Useful link, thanks. I see that neither of the Dulwich Hill councillors are standing again but one of the new Labour candidates for DH recently left the Lib Dems… The Greens are led by someone who left the Lib Dems and full of people who left Labour. Reform is full of those who left the Tories. And the Tories are full of those who left our planet some time ago. Confused? You will be!
    • I'm sorry to learn that though Liam does seems well qualified. Hopefully with McAsh gone, Southwark Labour will turn to Charlie to fill the gap.
    • As I understand it Charlie Smith did put himself forward for selection in GG but Labour members chose someone else to represent them, Liam McGrath https://southwarklabour.com/our-candidates/   It'll be interesting to see if there are other defections - surely the Greens want a drip, drip, drip of news from now to May suggesting the momentum is with them.
    • Thanks for your feedback - we always appreciate hearing from members about their experience. The pool temperature at JAGS Sports Club is maintained at 29oC, in line with industry guidelines for mixed-use pools.  This temperature has been designed to balance comfort for lane swimmers and families. Air temperature is also monitored regularly to ensure a comfortable environment for swimmers, spectators and staff. The shower Temperature Mixing Valves (TMVs) were changed in December to improve consistency, and we hope this has made a noticeable difference. If you would like to discuss your experience in more detail, please contact us directly at [email protected] or 020 8613 6500 and we'll be really happy to help.
