The moment has passed but in my good, bad and the ugly this weekend one of the latter two for this weekend would have been all the empty seats at the New Library.

We are led to believe that there are 1000s that can't get tickets for the Arse.

So the redistribution of spare season tickets is failing let alone people buying season tickets and not going. I only ever missed matches when my parents took me on holiday (yes I was a teenager at the time, when it was a close thing also between football and girls), or on one occasion when my selfish sister got married.

And would offload the spare ticket to a mate, I think this was three matches missed in four years; I'd love an explanation on why for many matches there are thousands of empty seats at the Emirates; I wouldn't be that bothered if they didn't included these as another sell out attendance.

???? and Ots, you've already made predictions for week 17 a couple of pages back. I posted 4 'weeks' worth of fixtures in case people were away over the festive period like LadyGooner. I think I was the only one who didn't do this, preferring single 'week' forecasts. Let me know which predictions you want me to take.

For future reference, I don't mind if anyone wants to amend predictions, as long as it's done before kick-off, and provided it's done on the original post, not a new one, otherwise there's a good chance I will miss it...

For those (bozos) who posted their predictions twice. It would be interesting to see if there was much correlation between guess 1 and guess 2. :)

As regards my top score this week, I can take the ridicule with the same charm as I shall exude when taking the title come May. Look out behind. I'm coming with a late run of form.

I was so 'score-crazed' by the time it came to predicting week three that I predicted without due care and attention - it's a Big 'Arry Management technique from his WH days "It's crazy Garth you know? I'm down to the bare bones this week so, you know, the team picks itself..."

(and sauce natch)

Happy New Year all B)

Refs have always been inconsistent, in that they will allow all sorts of pushing, pulling and general scratching each other's eyes out in the penalty box, yet will give a free kick for the merest hint of 'contact' outside the box...that is until yesterday when Clattenburg give a pen against Norwich for 'holding' a player in the box. I wonder if his fellow refs will follow?..

Interesting little piece with Rob Jones.

When he signed for Liverpool in 1991, he was on ?500 a week, and the most he ever earnt as a player was ?7000 a week before retireing due to injury in 1999. What a difference a decade makes!

It all went bonkers when Seth Johnson of Leeds was allegedly getting ?35k a week, not sure when that was exactly...

ETA..He signed for Leeds in 2001...

The story of Johnson's contract negotiations with Leeds have passed into legend, a chilling damnation of Ridsdale's spendthrift regime. It goes as follows: Johnson had been earning ?5,000 a week at Derby and his agent told him he wouldn't settle for less than ?13,000 a week at Leeds. Ridsdale's opening gambit, however, surprised them both. "Right, I'm sorry, I can only offer you ?30,000 a week," he said. Around the table jaws dropped in genuine shock. "Oh, all right then," said Ridsdale, filling the silence, "?37,000."

Can't wait for glass ankles to get injured, then we'll see just how much you're inclined to mirth. Or will the little boy inside you be crying "mummy"?

    • Where did I say he did a good job? Yup and Corbyn was very close to Len McCluskey and funded by Unite wasn't he...they're all as bad as each other... Labour have to purge their party of the far-left - they're a disaster. Allan Johnson summed it up so well on election night in 2019....
    • Thank you for the detailed advise @trinidad It is definitely damage we are concerned about. I don’t think Evri would agree to pay the bill to fix our gate or letter box if they were to be damaged as a result of their delivery drivers helper. Our doorbell can be heard from outside when rung so we don’t quite believe the aggressive simultaneous door/letter box banging is necessary. It can be quite a shock it is done very aggressively.  I’ll definitely action the steps you’ve kindly provided along with a phone call tomorrow. I do sympathise with the role drivers have and how busy they are, which is why we tried communicating directly with her but sadly we haven’t succeeded
    • What outcome would you like? Disciplinary action? Not to have the driver back? Retraining? I know there is alot of pressure on drivers to deliver within a set day. if he slams the gate, is it evidence he is causing damage, or is the noise a irritant to yourself? You could put a sign up or buy a signing asking to close the gate gentle???? can you hear the door bell from the door? he might be ringing, not hearing and therefore knocking. In trhe notes section of the be livery page, there is a note section, although there is not 100 per cent these notes would be read as these drivers are constantly rushing.  I did a google search for you, i found this and you can try the envri website Contact Us | Evri   To complain to Evri, you can follow these steps: Contact Customer Service: Call Evri's customer service at 0330 808 5456 for assistance with your complaint.    1 Write a Letter: Address your complaint to Capitol House, 1 Capitol Close, Morley, Leeds, West Yorkshire, LS27 0WH.    1 Use the Official Website: Visit the Evri complaints page on their official website for detailed instructions on how to submit a complaint.    2 Email or Call for Specific Issues: For issues like missing or damaged parcels, you can email or call 0800 988 8888, which is free to call.    1 These methods will help you effectively communicate your concerns to Evri.   My driver is called anthony, he is brilliant to be honest. I cant fault him.
    • When I have more time and energy, I will look up the actual number of votes cast for each party in that election, rather than the number of seats won. I'm interested to see that you apparently  think that  Boris Johnson did a good job of "leading the country through Covid." Is your memory really that short? I won't stoop to calling Johnson and his cronies names in the way that you seem to think is appropriate for left wing politicians. At least the left wing politicians have some semblance of morals and a concern for people who aren't in some over privileged inner circle and/or raking in money for themselves on the back of an epidemic. I'm not going to open a can of worms on here  by commenting on the disgraceful so called "purge".
