Deposit required. The house is 5min walk from Bellendon Road and less than 10 minutes walk from Peckham Rye and East Dulwich Stations.

The place includes spacious living room with wooden floor, seperate kitchen and bathroom. The bedroom to let includes a single bed and mattress and one shelf, please note the size of the room is a small single, although it is cute and the space can be used well.

The flatmates you are going to share with are an easy going couple and another young professional. All very friendly, they can make the best coffee for you. Hailey works as a yogs instructor, Ben as a cafe owner and handyman and Ale as a chef. On a weeknight and weekend we love to cook food for each other, go out in Peckham, go to gigs together. Main music tastes are very eclectic, electronic, rock, a bit of everything but music is a big part of our lives. Other past times include documentaries, cycling, local markets, climbing, yoga. It will be great if you share some of these interests.

Peckham is changing fast and is now building a reputation as one of the best places to live in London. Bellenden Road is filled with delicatessens, independent shops and some fantastic restaurants. Great transport links from Peckham Rye Zone 2 station with mainline links to Central London stations (London Victoria, London Bridge, St Pancras) and the overground (orange) link to Dalston Junction, Clapham Junction. Marsden road itself is nicely quite. We share a garden with the downstairs flat.

If you are interested please do get in touch to view the flat. More pictures of the room and flat on Gumtree :) https://www.gumtree.com/p/property-to-share/cosy-single-room-to-rent-in-this-lovely-3-bedroom-victorian-maisonette-560-including-bills/1296198269

    • Thanks Penguin. It could be a coincidence. But after years of road safety being on the local agenda they finally put the crossings in months before Dulwich Estates regain the lease on The Grove.   The Estate understands there is strong local interest in improving this area and we hope to be in a position to share some exciting updates in the near future. The temporary skatepark will remain unaffected. “Temporary skatepark” is telling.
    • Back to my earlier post about familiarity.  I was in Croydon this afternoon walking between the two main stations.  Didn't feel unsafe, but there were some 'interesting' characters on the street.  Not that any were bothered with me. Not a place I'd choose to go for a bit of a fun.  Although having said that West Croydon has some cracking restaurants and the wonderfully named Saints and Sinners bar, where I once went on a corporate do - not that I did many of these. Whoops just checked and it closed a few months ago. Back on track, I never went to the Castle as I felt it was a bit rough.  How wrong was I?  Only real pub left in the area.
    • Wow Sue! I was reading your post with interest as I’ve never really felt unsafe in London and I was born here. It was just your last paragraph that derailed me and totally changed the subject matter! So unnecessary.
