In the interests of sharing and caring, I've just joined Bulb Energy this week, switched as my contract with a big 6 was coming to an end.

I can highly recommend them for several reasons:

1. They were by far cheaper than my old provider (and I always check for the best rates around)

2. Their electricity is all GREEN energy, gas they say is only 10% green. But given most people are environmentally conscious now, you have a great opportunity to go all green on your electric bill

3. They handle the switching process and switching takes less than 2 minutes on their website

4. They say they will pay your exit fees with your current provider

5. They have no exit fees, so if you don?t like, you can leave at any time

What?s more, if you use my friend referral code below, you will get a ?50 credit to your account for joining, and so will I. So if they are cheaper than your current provider, you have loads of reasons to switch.

Mr referral code (paste this into your browser to get ?50 credit when you join): bulb.co.uk/refer/ricardob1020

This is their tariffs for Elec and Gas (based on one SE22 Post Code, so rates may vary in surrounding areas):

Supplier: Bulb

Tariff Type: Variable (if you are worried about rate increases in future, you can switch with no exit fee)

Payment Method: Direct Debit

Electricity Unit Rate: 11.949p per kWh

Electricity Standing Charge: 24.56p per day

Gas Unit Rate: 2.835p per kWh

Gas Standing Charge: 24.56p per day (?89.64 per year)

Dual Fuel discount:?30/year

Exit Fees: None (they don?t believe in exit fees)

I appreciate for some people it may not be worth to switch, but I?m sure this would be worthwhile for a lot of people currently paying more than they should. Happy switching to those of who it may be of use. Remember, just paste the below link into your browser to get ?50 credit when you join:

Thanks

    • Always prefer to support non chains - so many lovely places with good food to choose from with pleasant staff who know about customer service and sadly, non English which says a lot for our culture,   ? Does your broadbrush bias extend to Welsh, Scottish and N Irish/Irish waiting staff also or is it only non-native speakers that you admire unconditionally?! Hospitality staff are a varied lot, as are their moods and attitudes at any one given time.
    • I've noticed the same, thankfully they're too fluttery for my cat to catch. I've noticed the white ones always seem to travel in pairs?
    • Jersey Moths are about and have been for the last fortnight or so.
    • No problem. I think it is also worth saying, in light of the recent Panorama programme, that we, at No-Flies, are completely independent and do not have referral arrangements with solicitors or surveyors. We believe that both buyers and sellers should be free to make their own choices on who they wish to instruct - though we are happy to provide recommendations and will try to warn people off firms with whom we have had previous bad experiences.
