Can't say precisely as you could work out who I am and I would get local villagers with burning torches outside my home. Small dodgy club in Brum where all the Birmingham bands of the time (early 60s) played, and pretty sure the Beetles in the early days. I've tried to get Bev Bevan of ELO to tell me more, and spoke to Steve Gibbons who also played there. Steve Winwood and Denny Laine were others. Oh and the 'N Betweens, who went onto become Ambrose Slade then Slade.

This part of the EDF. The lounge is dead, its passed on. This chat room is no more. It has ceased to be. It has expired and gone to meet its maker. 'Its a stiff, Bereft of life, it rests in peace.       Steve used to joke that my old VW Golf kept them in business. I've got a more reliable car now so maybe that's why they are closing. Sad day.

      Is Dell Autos closing down completely or just moving? For whatever it's worth, for MOTs I've had good recent experience with The Test Centre in Deptford. They only do MOTs so they don't have any particular incentive to fail you and they usually have same day appointments. Open 7 days a week and late. https://www.thetestcentre.co.uk/our-test-centres/deptford-branch/ Obviously you would still need a "normal" garage to do servicing and repairs etc.

      No. What happened? I actually thought, considering it was what we used to call Guy Fawkes Day last night, the loud noises from  fireworks ended remarkably early. About 9pm? Maybe I just fell asleep and didn't hear any later ones. Do people actually burn Guys any more? Apart from at places like Lewes, where I believe they still have Bonfire Societies and burn effigies of various political figures etc.
