Bobbaz
I'm desperately trying to avoid my yr 7/11yr old son spending all of half term plugged into his PS4 but all the half term clubs are geared towards primary school kids. Even if just an hour or 2 per day would be good. Anyone have any suggestions? (non-football or crafts related ideally) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/192444-half-term-suggestions-for-secondary-school-kids/ Share on other sites
Jules-and-Boo
maybe you could get together with other parents and each take a day to do something with the kids. It would be less of a pressure for all the families and the kids would love each other's company. beansprout
Science Museum in London - think Tim Peakes space craft is on show, Hornimen always has things on, how about a walk in London - years ago took an 11 year old boy on a walk round London - guided - ours was lawyers etc. Also we took a boat put on Regents Park. Coding?? Cooking Classes? Really depends what he likes but hope this helps. Wimbledon Chikdrens Theatre? Christmas Tree Farm - actually animal farm! hpsaucey
Just to say Tim Peake's craft is NOT on show in London at present - it has moved north for a bit. However, you can go and view the awe-inspiring engineering model of BepiColumbo! https://www.sciencemuseum.org.uk/see-and-do/mission-mercury-bepi-colombo And of course the Apollo 10 command module if you're into all things space(y).
