After some advice from handy DIYers. I have an old shed, it's an unusual size, say 40cm x 150cm, and about 170cm tall. It could be a handy size for a small garden. However, it's bigger than I need, so I've been clearing it out to pass it on, but in doing so have found that the floor is rotten, as are the bottom two planks. Is it salvageable? I hate to throw something out if so - the rest of the structure seems fairly sound although it needs a few smaller repairs.

Anyone fancy a shed DIY project?? Or should I just give up, smash it up and take it to the tip?

Next question then - anyone planning a trip to the tip soon who wouldn't mind taking some extra stuff along, possibly a shed?

Ah, if by short you mean height, I did say it was about 170cm tall! 40cm is the depth although having measured is actually 50cm, so it is quite flat, designed to run along a wall rather than stick out from it. At 150cm wide I'm not sure it's big enough to be a bike shed? Maybe I'll try just taking the bottom out and seeing if can be used that way.

    • Personally I feel its a shame for the tree. The bridge looks pretty badly damaged-I just hope it does'nt mean the entrance from Dulwich Common/Lordship Lane will be closed for ages while they fix it.
    • This is such a shame for the bridge.  I wonder if anyone saw it fall, and when it was (at night?) Is the walking path through the woods still accessible?
    • Free range chickens &/ organic whole chickens are around £15-20 retail these days…  Given their credentials in hospitality etc I’d assume Norbert’s has sourced decent quality chicken, wholesale. The fact they aren’t saying anything about that on the menu or website seems strange…  if it were true it would help justify the price. Chicken & 2 x Chips - would work out £10.50 a head between 4… not bad if it’s decent quality chicken and seasoned well with care & skill
    • I have no lawn but still trying to get wild flowers to germinate. After a couple of years sowing seeds I've finally managed to produce some ox eye daisies. Still trying to succeed with cornflowers, vipers bugloss to name but a few. A couple of foxgloves are coming up. Its a gradual process for which we need lots of patience. Don't forget after No Mow May it's Let it Bloom June.
