East Dulwich residents - Do you live with a chronic health condition?

Recommended Posts

We'd like to speak with you!

Hello forum members.

Southwark-based social enterprise Participle are looking to speak with people who have lived with a chronic condition for at least two years. If you have COPD, Hypertension, Coronary Heart Disease or Multiple Sclerosis then we would especially like to hear from you.

What?s happening?

We are at the beginning of a process to design new kinds of support for people with chronic conditions in Southwark, which includes their friends and family. We want to hear from ordinary people to ensure we design something that will really make a difference in people?s lives. We are not the NHS and we are not trying to find out your opinions of NHS services. This is an opportunity to say what you really feel about living well and the kinds of support that could support this.

Getting involved

We are interested in your day-to-day life and the people around you. That is why we would like to meet you together with your friends or family members. You can decide together who you would like to bring along and apart from the researchers, you won?t need to meet anyone you don?t know.

We are meeting people between Monday 26th September and Friday 7th October and our places are limited. If you would like to take part, please contact Kate as soon as possible. The conversations will take about 1 hour 30 minutes and we offer a gift of ?25 as a thank you for taking part. Everything you tell us about will be treated as confidential and none of your personal information will be passed on to any other organisations.

Equally if you know someone who might be interested, please pass this message on and see if they?d like to take part.

For more information on the project and taking part, please contact:

Kate Burn, [email protected], 020 7089 6950, www.participle.net

    • It was indeed in the vicinity of DKH. I live on the ED estate and I could tell it must be close by because of the noise. When I left my house this morning I found the culprits litter still in the middle of the st. It looked like they had lit a whole box on fire in the middle of the road. My cat jumped out of her skin. I’ll try and report it on Southwark website same as I have had to with other illegal use this week. Any other ideas for what we can do with the photos? Maybe one of the Southwark councillors. It’s outrageous and dangerous behaviour.
    • Had another great meal there…. those that haven’t tried it, give it a go.. have a special lunch menu as well so you can get a flavour of the food.
    • If you "cotton on" and read the council announcement, it clearly states "The library will be closed from 17 November until late June or early July 2026."  https://www.southwark.gov.uk/2025/dulwich-library-closing-refurbishment
    • I’ve been seeing Lisa at goose green clinic for energy work for a year now.  Lisa is kind, caring and hugely supportive. She is wonderfully masterful and trained as a reiki master for 20 plus years. Alongside other energy work.  My time spent with her is like therapy. An emotional safe space for deep conversations and reflection followed by relaxing and energising healing work.  each experience I’ve had has been different, the end result remains the same. Feel lighter, almost euphoric and almost float home. Definitely an experience not to be missed.  https://www.goosegreenclinic.net/therapies/healing-energy-work/
