Estate agent recommendation

Recommended Posts

I recently sold my flat in Camberwell through local estate agents No Flies and couldn't recommend them enough. Brendan and Tony were honest and approachable, and provided excellent customer service throughout - at times going way beyond the call of duty to deal with issues at the flat that I could not due to living overseas. They found a buyer for the flat very soon after putting it on the market and managed the sale carefully through to the end with just the right level of pressure. An excellent service. We also just sold our maisonette in Nunhead with No Flies and had an excellent experience from start to finish. They showed up on time to all appointments, answered phone calls and emails promptly throughout the process of selling our house, and gave us sound advice on everything from pricing to presenting the property. We found them via EDF and wanted to recommend them on here in turn! Thanks Brendan and Tony!

We just sold our two bed flat in Peckham with No Flies and we had an excellent experience too. It was very far away from the usual estate agent experience, they gave us a reasonable valuation, achieved that quickly and communicated with all parties politely and helpfully. No sales pressure or scare tactics, they were actually a helpful third party to have involved in the transaction, which was very different from our first experience buying through Winkworth! I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone who wants to deal with an estate agent you actually feel is telling you the truth. Also very prompt at responding to emails and were helpful in reassuring the seller of the property we were moving to, and motivating our buyers' lawyers, when everything was very delayed. Great service!

Another big thumbs up for Brendan and Tony of No Flies.

Highly knowledgeable, helpful and hard working. No phone call or email goes unanswered, honest communication throughout, competitive fees and a pragmatic approach to the market.

Completely recommended for their professionalism and service. Thank you Brendan and Tony!

    • What do you base those statements on?
    • I suppose I'd assume that Councillor McCash, who is, as I recall, a self-confessed revolutionary Marxist, had hoped to take Southwark Labour down his chosen route - when he lost his leadership bid he must then have been looking for a party which shared his ultra-left views (ultra-left at least in the light of Starmer's interpretation of socialism). The Greens, for him, clearly fit that role. After that his timing was all about benefiting his chosen (new) party - at least he didn't stand for Labour and then defect giving the Greens an unexpected 3 year seat. As someone who doesn't share the wings of his political position I don't wish him well (politically) - but neither do I wish him ill as a 'punishment' for his defection.
    • Agree with all the sentiments above. Hope it doesn't change too much and above all I really hope it stays independent and avoids becoming the same as all the chain pubs in the area.
    • This move won't advance his career in Southwark. He'll have to leave the cabinet now for a couple of months and won't get back on it in May. He might win a council seat but the Greens won't win control of the council and Labour won't have him anywhere near the levers of power. His only (and presumably intended) route for advancement will be for the Greens to offer him PCC seat somewhere in the general election in 2029. By then the Greens will be toast. They might even be finished by this Friday if they don't win the Gorton by-election.
