Good afternoon,

My little fella is just over 2 weeks and we're having some trouble breastfeeding.

I've been to a breastfeeding cafe and asked variOus midwives who all feel that the latch is fine...but it can't be because I'm now down to only being able to feed one one side and pump on the other while it heals...it's a little earlier than I hoped to be expressing but it should just be for a few days. His weight is up on the 91st centime so not worried from his point of view...more the pain issue for me.

I have contacted a lactation consultant who was recommended to me but she has so far not responded to my emails or calls so I wondered if anyone had used anyone they would recommend. I feel like I've exhausted the NHS resources and am at crisis point but don't want to give up so any recommendations for private specialists would be massively appreciated!

Thanks! X

    • Most of the groceries shops in Lordship Lane have a security presence…curious thing is I and another woman recently saw a shop lifter lift and not pay for a couple of packet of steaks, veg and bottle of wine..  Literally walked Pat the tills, one member of staff and security guard despite someone else going in front by a few people and mentioning person in question! I have to say, speechless and admired their bravado - I would not have the guts and knowing my luck, if I accidentally didn’t put something tru the till despite receipt would prob get stopped! Yes, worked with families, homeless and other people who were struggling for food so I do understand why they do it.. sad when you think about it, that in this day and age, all sorts of c people need assistance and help from community in general, food banks, olio etc….

    • And another one, number 6, has just gone passed as well!  I presume that the LTNs are blocking them from a more useful route. Or the surrounding road works.
    • Yes, I saw an incident van too, earlier, around 3.30 - never seen one before. It did look as if it was on its way to something major.
