After School care wanted

Recommended Posts

Hello, We're looking for some help from September picking up our 2 children from Goose Green School (6 and 9) and looking after them at our home in Peckham Rye until 6-6.30 twice, possibly three times a week. We are looking for someone fun, lively, responsible who they can enjoy spending time with. Qualifications aren't a must but if they like music or art that would be a plus so could suit a student. Also we have a dog who goes to a dog sitter but if you like dogs that would be a bonus!

Hi there!

I live in Nunhead and have been a babysitter for ten years, working with 6months up to 15 year olds. I am very lively, and work part time as a writer/journalist alongside babysitting. I studied at Goldsmiths college and The Royal college of Art (Ba and Ma) so enjoy doing art related activities with children. Also have experience gardening, with animals and cooking.

It would be great to meet, or I can send more information over if you need.

Thanks

Hatty

    • I haven't had a rude EVRI delivery but last week I had an unexpected delivery at 10.42 pm. He didn't ring the bell or knock on the door (or rattle the letter flap) but just took a photo and put the box down.  If it hadnt been for the door camera giving us a beep we would never have known there was a parcel ready to sit there all night.
    • Sorry if I’m being slow but there’s no point in having a gate then is there?  Would have thought it was basic manners to respect someone’s property
    • I didn't say wedge it "slightly" open. I meant to wedge it fully open.
    • I have a rescue Spanish greyhound (galgo) from the charity mentioned above. You can contact Greyhounds in Need or one of the more local Kent greyhound rescue charities. They are fantastic family dogs. They do love walkies 2 or 3 times a day but they actually don't need to be walked too far and then they will happily loaf around on the sofa being very chill. They are brilliant with kids but not recommended if you own a cat as they have a strong prey drive. They also should be kept on the lead in local parks. They prefer to be around other sight-hounds (well my one does) and there are loads of local sighthound owners in Peckham, Crystal Palace etc and a very lively WhatsApp group that is brilliant if you need dog sitting as you can usually find someone to do that for free in return for you looking after the dog at a later date etc.
