After school care nanny, childminder - would you like to share, or would you like a mixed role?

Recommended Posts

Our wonderful nanny is leaving us after four years, to find a more full time role.

We are therefore looking for after school childcare (3-6.30ish) either 2 or 3 days a week. We have 3 kids aged 12 (v independent), 9, 7. Primary school kids go to Heber.

We know this is not an easy ask for anyone given the hours and are happy to consider any variant that would work for you including:

1. Sharing your services - if you are a nanny already employed by a family, where sharing can help keep the costs down or mix things up for you we are very happy to discuss options.

2. Paying for some extra hours if you would be willing to consider housekeeping and cleaning work too. We can keep this civilised and will not exploit you!

3. Combining with any other family who needs childcare part time and would be willing to jointly search for a good person.

Please PM me if you are interested in any of these options.

Thanks.

    • But... you returned at 4.03pm... 🤷‍♀️
    • Hello, Does anyone know of any climbing, basketball or badminton clubs that are local to Peckham, East Dulwich? My son’s weekends are full of football and rugby training but I’m struggling to keep him busy (off a screen!) on week evenings. I’ve looked into the London Community boxing but sessions sadly start at 4.30 and he’s not back from school until 5.  Any recommendations gratefully received!
    • Be careful out there  !   I got a ticket for 1 minute over  on Lordship Lane   ---- with a blue badge , on a single yellow ...    I returned at 4.03pm to find the ticket -- he waited till 4.01pm with ticket and then scarpered  Naturally i appealed it and this was the response   We refer to the informal challenge you have made against the issue of the Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) JK17113680 You were parked on a single yellow line with one yellow kerb marking. There is a sign at the location advising that no loading is permitted Monday-Friday, 7 am to 10 am, and then 4 pm to 7 pm. Loading is permitted for a maximum of 40 minutes between 10 am and 4 pm, and then again after 7 pm. You were observed parked at 4:01 pm. and therefore issued a PCN for parking at a time when the rule applies. The purpose of this rule is to improve traffic flow and safety at all times. This contravention is immediately enforceable, and therefore, a PCN can be issued straight away as no observation period is needed. This rule applies to disabled badge holders, too; it is not a situation where you may use your disabled badge. Although your Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) was correctly given, we have cancelled it on this occasion, as a gesture of goodwill. Please note that this cancellation does not set a precedent for other PCNs issued in the future under similar circumstances, as each case is dealt with on its own merits. Yours sincerely Anita Hayler Southwark Parking
