New craft class - Make your own Espadrilles - 19 August 2018, Goose Green Community Centre -

Recommended Posts

Come and join us to make your own espadrilles - perfect footwear for the summer!

This is the first of a series of new craft classes held in Goose Green Community Centre, East Dulwich. The class will take place on Sunday 19 August between 2.30 and 5pm.

All materials are provided, including the espadrille sole, and a selection of outer and inner materials.

By the end of the 2.5 hours, you should have finished at least one shoe, probably both, but if not, worry not as you will have all the materials you need to finish off the other (if not yet completed) and written guidance to take away to make your next pair!

This is a great class for both beginners and those who would like to expand their experience.

It is a small class so you will get focused support and guidance.

Sustenance in the form of tea, coffee and cake is provided throughout.

Come for a friendly and relaxed afternoon and leave with a new pair of shoes!

Please let me know your shoe size (or the size of shoe you would like to make) when booking.

If you have any questions or queries then please contact me on [email protected].

    • Colin.    One for the old school.   Just saying.
    • Signed, and I will share it elsewhere, thank you for posting this. It's got nearly 70,000 signatures at present, and apparently runs till February.
    • There’s a couple of Gov petitions going on in relation to fireworks at the moment but this one is for banning them entirely except organised displays if anyone wants to sign. This is the only sensible way forward in my view. No one should be able to let them off in gardens or anywhere like that, it’s crazy. I am surprised some of you have said it hasn’t been as bad this year. I live near DKH Saino and it’s been absolutely terrible my way for days. This petition gained about 20,000 just in the last day or so so clearly the appetite is there! https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/732559
    • I'd have thought they could use some of  their income from hiring out a large part of Brockwell Park in the summer (therefore, as I understand it, preventing local residents from using much of it) to put on a firework display there  in the autumn which might somewhat make up to those residents for the previous loss of use of the park. And also generate goodwill.
