AnotherPaul
If you're planning a trip to the Walworth Road dump in a van you'll need two proofs of address to show you're a Southwark resident. I'm posting this as have only ever been there in a car before, so had no idea about this rule. The dump staff nearly turned me away but were willing to be reasonable and I could have been less fortunate. Taking a van load of waste home really would have been rubbish. the-e-dealer
Well its to stop people from outside the borough dumping at OUR dump and then we pay for the rubbish with landfill tax. Trouble is they dont check car loads. But its logical to let people go to their nearest dump - For Example if you live on the Old Kent Road the Lewisham Dump is much nearer resulting in a shorter less poluting journey.
