Brilliant country walks just 40 mins from East Dulwich

Know many of the walks well and may cycle out tonight if weather improves. Sadly too many of the pubs are the brewery wreckers Greene King - hopefully they have guest ales on or otherwise it is Guinness.

Cowden Pound pub is great... though a bit out of the way of my walks I think (near Hever though...). Really like the Castle Inn at Chiddingstone that serves Larkins, although can be touristy. To be honest, if I'm thirsty not too bothered.

Great, glad you enjoyed it. In same area but actually even nicer I can recommend the Fackenden Down walk that starts from Shoreham Station; it's a similar length but takes you up into the hills east of the main valley which are so peaceful and rural.
