Southwark Consultation on flood alleviation in Peckham Rye Park/Common

I was looking for something on Southwark Council's site and came across a consultation re Peckham Rye Park which closes in 4 days. On a brief review the proposals involve putting in similar flood prevention measures as have gone into Dulwich Park (raised mounds and ditches to hold rain), a series of other "environmental improvements" in some less used areas of the park, new seasonal planting and some information boards.

"Peckham area is at a relatively higher risk of surface water flooding"...They'd be better off ceasing the approval of drop curbs and stop encouraging the paving over front gardens
