John Lewis handmade children's/nursery blackout curtains - cute animal print for girl or boy

Recommended Posts

We are selling this lovely pair of John Lewis hand-made curtains with blackout lining and triple pleat heading in great condition. Pale blue background with colourful animals (owl, dog, turtle, hedgehog, mouse....) makes these great for a girl or boy.

Width of curtain is up to 120 cm - the distance from furthest pleats on each curtain is just over 50cm - they are currently on a 1m wide window. Drop from the curtain pole can be changed easily and can vary from around 218cm to 226 cm by moving the hooks

One of the hooks has been replaced so is different from the others and there is some slight wear on the lining at the top from the curtain pole - but these are hidden when the curtains are hung. Happy to send more photos if you are interested.

    • I know people won’t have any sympathy but the SEND challenge was brought up when taxing parents who have opted for independent school to meet a child’s SEND needs. Funding crisis is getting worse and the VAT on Education pushed children out of independent schools, now their SEND needs are to be met by the state.
    • I completely agree with you - and last night was really terrible where I am. Between midnight and 1am was the worst, where it genuinely felt like a war zone. I had to run out of my house to try and stop a grown man setting them off in open space right by our front doors. In response he went to throw a half lit one at me and then seemed to think better of it. I am so sad at how bad the situation has got here and how selfish people are. Fireworks are bad for the environment and for pets and wildlife, as well as just being unnecessary noise for people too. I have sent an email today to Helen Hayes, which I have done previously on this issue. Would advise anyone to write to your MP to do the same, and to ask them to engage with the debates scheduled for 19 Jan.
    • And they started long before midnight!
