Job Location: Camberwell / Peckham (SE5)

Role: Full-time Nanny | Live In

Start Date: November / December (Mum goes back to work in January)

Hours: 8am ? 7.15pm Monday - Friday + 1 or 2 babysitting slots

Driver: Driver preferable but not necessary

Languages: Good understanding of English. French or Spanish speaker would be a plus.

We are looking for an energetic, resourceful and kind nanny for our bubbly little baby boy, who will be 1 in January.

Experience is less important to us than the right attitude: we are looking for someone with a genuine love of children to become part of our family.

The ideal nanny will be bubbly and fun but will be proactive in organising our son?s daily routine and activities and will take his development seriously.

The primary task would be taking care of our son?s daily needs: overseeing his routine, preparing his meals, doing his laundry, taking him to playgroups and doing his bath and bedtime routine. We would also be grateful for some additional help (we also have a cleaner) with the running of the house e.g. keeping the house tidy, keeping on top of laundry, and helping prepare evening meals etc.

Salary would depend on your experience but would be competitive.

In terms of accommodation, you would have exclusive use of the top floor of the house: a bright and spacious double room and newly renovated bathroom. We live in a great location - plenty of baby activities and nanny networks in East Dulwich - but also with easy access (9 min train) to central London. We would do everything we could to make sure you were happy in our home and absolutely treat you as one of the family.

Happy to provide references from people who have previously worked for us!

    • I can't access the article - what's the gist?  I took the markets getting jittery when she was crying at PMQs to be a sign that they trusted her. But maybe it was because they were simply worried about any form of instability.  The NIC hikes have stymied the economy, which we could all see a mile off. Will a wealth tax improve things? Does anyone here think the trickle down has any impact and that chasing out the super rich will help things? Or are we just seeing off the biggest contributors to the economy? And has the Kwasi approach ever worked anywhere else?  Economics is not my strong point at all, I'd love to know others' opinions, but it seems to be she has few options, especially as the party is so divided.
    • does either of them have a surgery? probably not over summer, but I thought they had to give the opportunity for their constituents to meet them.
    • MaryT, I’ve contacted the Dulwich Hill councillors several times in recent years, always copying them both in. I have never had an acknowledgment from Jon Hartley (not even an automated response or out-of-office) nor had any response or engagement from him regarding the issue raised.   On each occasion, only Maggie Browning responded (she uses an out-of-office if she is away). The last time, I received no response from either for 3 months, until Maggie Browning emailed me to apologise for not responding and asking if the problem had been resolved.
    • The  Kwasi effect is being considered.
