Postnatal Pilates

Recommended Posts

My new course of Postnatal Pilates will begin on Tuesday 4th September at 8pm, at my home studio in Peckham SE15.

This is a course designed for mums - at any stage in your motherhood journey you don't have to be immediately postnatal - to strengthen and build resilience for motherhood, to release tension around the neck & shoulders, alleviate aches and pains.

I focus on pelvic floor awareness, building deep abdominal tone to heal diastasis recti (abdominal separation), and strengthening the bum to stabilise the pelvis and spine.

Being a mother is a physical and emotional krypton factor and Pilates can help to reset your body and mind. An hour to connect to your body, breathe and find your mojo.

I'm the author of Pilates for Pregnancy https://www.bloomsbury.com/uk/pilates-for-pregnancy-9781472951083/ and The Supermum Myth https://www.amazon.co.uk/Supermum-Myth-Imperfection-Mindfulness-Techniques/dp/1910336343, and my Pilates classes build in a mindfulness element which can help to alleviate anxiety and ease symptoms of postnatal depletion.

I also run a monthly Pelvic Floor workshop which explores how we can develop full awareness of our pelvic floor: both strength and release, in order to fully optimise pelvic floor function post pregnancy.

Spaces are limited.

Postnatal Pilates runs for 6 weeks, ?70 for the block.

email me if you're interested in signing up!

    • You can get a card at the till, though, to get the discount. You don't have to carry it with you (or load it onto your phone), you can just get a different card each time. Not sure what happens if they notice 🤣
    • Yes..that may be the case but membership STARTING at £115 a month is still unafforable for many. Council gyms also have a large range of equipment and I had a  PT at Dulwich leisure centre when I was in Full Time employment who was incredible and even kept in contact during lockdown giving me a program I could do at home and checking in weekly at no charge or personal gain for herself. I dont doubt that Fit For may be a good gym (Its been in situ long enough so must be doing something right) However the cost of membership means it is affordable for the few not the many. If I could afford that kind of fee I would rather get a train to Canary Wharf and go to Virgin active where theres a pool and incredible classes and facilities
    • This sounds great 👍
    • We found a red TREK bike yesterday that had clearly been stolen and dumped. Would love to reunite it with its owner. Get in touch if you know whose it is.
