Use Economy Car Rentals fairly regularly

They list many others including the big hire companies as well as Goldcar (AVOID AVOID). Deals in Sardia look pretty good.

I don't have any specific rental suggestions however I highly recommend purchasing excess reduction insurance from somewhere other than the car rental you go with- you can buy it from somewhere like www.reducemyexcess.co.uk

You can get it for a one off rental or an annual policy and is significantly cheaper than the excess reduction charges car rental companies will offer.

If you do damage the vehicle you do have to pay and then claim the cost back after but I've found it an easy and hassle-free process in the past.
