This Danish cargo bike is one of the lightest and most nimble on the market, but crucially provides a comfortable, dry and safe ride for children. These highly sought after bikes (especially this kind which has sloping sides and a lower front so children can see out) almost never come up on eBay etc. New this model sells for ?1,964.50. https://www.londongreencycles.co.uk/shop/bikes/christiania-classic-light/

We are selling this bike because our kids are now able to cycle confidently and far on their pedal bikes.

Our Christiania bike has been well-used, but is in perfect working order and a little TLC would go a long way to improving its appearance. Most notable is a hole in the base of the box (at the front so easily avoidable and far from kids feet). This could be patched or possibly replaced - we just didn't get round to it. Please see pic. This is reflected in the price of ?750.

    • I imagine Franco Manca's business dropped off quite a bit when Yard Sale opened (though isn't Yard Sale delivery only?) But in any case, both of those are chains.
    • Thanks. I'll call them shortly as I could get there without the car.  That's good of Sainsburys! We've done the apple pie and tart thing, an ongoing muesli thing and the coleslaw thing - just not sure what effect all the sugars are having on our digestive tracts.
    • One time Sainsbury's delivered 6 bags of apples instead of 6 single apples which I couldn't possibly get through. I phoned Pecan in Peckham to ask if they would accept them despite their website stating no fresh foods. I must have phoned at just the right time as they were happy to accept them. Sainsburys gave me a refund so the donation was courtesy of them. Or you could experiment with all kinds of apple recipes and write a blog about it
    • There's a food bank off Dog Kennel Hill. Albrighton Community Fridge. https://www.albrightoncommunityfridge.org/ I'm sure they would welcome them, but maybe check first, as they don't actually mention fresh fruit on their website? But apples aren't that perishable. Drop off seven days a week 9 - 5. Be warned if you are going by car, parking can be very difficult, easiest if there are two of you so one person can take the food in while the other can move the car if necessary.
