Dear members of the East Dulwich Forum,

We are grassroots mental health campaign group in SE London and we would like to invite you to our Public Meeting to campaign for our local children?s and young people?s mental health services. With cuts to local government, the funding for children?s and young people?s mental health services (CAMHS) is in danger. Local authorities and NHS England have carried out a review of Southwark CAMHS.

Please join us to have your say on how you would like the children?s and young people mental health services to be and to protect them from funding cuts!

Wednesday 26th September at 19.30 pm

Herne Hill Methodist Hall, 155 Half Moon Lane, SE24 9JG

We would be grateful if you could circulate this to anyone who might be interested in your network.

    • Apologies on the tardy reply, but thank you everyone for your responses and suggestions! Unfortunately I couldn't attend the recent EDF drinks because of work (I know right). But will absolutely keep eyes peeled for the next one and try and come down!
    • Because of the weather which delayed completion with roofer only being able to work certain days, it was up from November - end of January. Went slightly higher than gutters (we also had guttering replaced).
    • It's tough being a courier and the pay which is largely based on the number they deliver is miserable. Hence the staff turnover is high. EFRI was previously branded as HERMES but they had to create a new brand name because of poor performance. We get regular courier deliveries and EVRI are by far the worst. They just drop the parcel at the front door - often without ringing the bell. But worst is when they deliver to the equivalent door number on LL instead of ours on EDG. Best are ParcelForce, DHL and DPD by a wide margin.
    • I know the couple you mean, and she has always been friendly and smiley when delivering to me, but obviously in a hurry, for all the reasons outlined in the thread. My gate is always open, however (unless someone coming to the house closes it when they leave). I can't see the point of gates that have to be opened and shut again every time someone comes to the house. It just seems a waste of time, and it's annoying if you are carrying stuff. And a closed gate  conveys a sort of "my house is my fortress" feel. To me, anyway.
