Recommending my Mum 'super Gran' who is available on Thursdays 8-2.30 pm for childcare. She has looked after many children over the years including her grandchildren and nannied for various local families. She knows the Dulwich area very well and all the fun local activities. She is extremely 'gung-ho' and children just gravitate towards her. She would be an asset to any family looking for a little extra help. Please contact her on 07526 143859 or [email protected].

Her profile is below.

Carolyn has always been involved with children whether it be teaching dance, looking after grandchildren or looking after her own children for approximately 40 years. Carolyn is a very active Granny who still runs daily, cycles and swims regularly. Recently she has taken all 4 of her grandchildren aged 10, 8, 7 and 6 on her own camping and managed all 4 of them, with tents and activities!

Children would describe Carolyn as fun, someone that makes them feel safe and loved. She will communicate with every child on an individual basis. She is really aware of the individual needs of each child and will find a way to empower them and bring out the best of them.

Activities she enjoys with children include puzzles, indoor dancing (Loves a disco), making up songs, rapping, reading poems, being creative with arts and crafts, outside activities. She is happy to follow family routines already in place. She can cook from scratch and her specialities include Spaghetti bolognese, chicken casseroles, roast chickens, roasted salmon with rice.

    • You can get a card at the till, though, to get the discount. You don't have to carry it with you (or load it onto your phone), you can just get a different card each time. Not sure what happens if they notice 🤣
    • Yes..that may be the case but membership STARTING at £115 a month is still unafforable for many. Council gyms also have a large range of equipment and I had a  PT at Dulwich leisure centre when I was in Full Time employment who was incredible and even kept in contact during lockdown giving me a program I could do at home and checking in weekly at no charge or personal gain for herself. I dont doubt that Fit For may be a good gym (Its been in situ long enough so must be doing something right) However the cost of membership means it is affordable for the few not the many. If I could afford that kind of fee I would rather get a train to Canary Wharf and go to Virgin active where theres a pool and incredible classes and facilities
    • This sounds great 👍
    • We found a red TREK bike yesterday that had clearly been stolen and dumped. Would love to reunite it with its owner. Get in touch if you know whose it is.
