We have a furnished double room (can be let as unfurnished) to rent in our lovely large shared house in Peckham/Camberwell. Available from 22nd October however if you need to move in sooner that is also possible

It's a big house in a great location, just behind Burgess Park, walking distance from Peckham Rye station (overground & national rail), Elephant & Castle (10 mins) and Oval tube (10 mins) stations. Great bus services with ample night buses!

Current housemates are Damian (set builder/carpenter) & Kylie (PA in Cyber Security & Dog/House sitter). We're busy people but enjoy spending evenings at home and hanging out together when we get the chance. We're looking for someone clean & tidy, easy-going, who likes to socalise but not bring the party back home. We have similiar interests to most; going out, gigs, Sunday roasts, keeping fit, music, chilling on the sofa, Netflix & we both like to go travelling a lot!

We can offer you fast Broadband, large shared living area, big garden for summer BBQ's, very large open planned kitchen/dining room, huge loft to store things, a garage for storing pushbikes & secure alarm system.

Room is ?840pcm INCLUSIVE OF ALL BILLS (council tax, electric, gas, water, phone, broadband, TV & a house kitty). A deposit of ?640 is also required, this goes into a safety deposit scheme. Room comes with a double bed, small set of drawers & a table; all can be removed if need be.

If this sounds appealing get in touch as we are currently holding viewings.

Cheers Kylie

    • We worked with Eliot recently to get two sets of shelves built. He was excellent! Really high quality craftsmanship, communicative and lovely - I’d recommend Langley Carpentry in a heartbeat.
    • How about trying the upstairs of some local pubs like EDT? They prob won't stay open until wee small hours but worth a try... or night at Rivoli Ballroom Catford (too old?!) or somewhere up in town for drinks rather than hiring somewhere.
    • Sadly crime does seem to be going up in terms of opportunists and street crime / bike thefts etc. Lack of CCTV in this area means it's more of a target than some neighbouring areas according to police (when they sent victim support round after our car had its catalytic converter stolen twice in 6 months by organised gang complete with balaclavas, iron bars and a chainsaw.. driving a 4x4). Crime still relatively low by some parts of London standards but a worrying trend if burglars are trying their luck when people are actually home. Wonder what local police/ MP thoughts are in terms of whether they could organise more community policing patrols. I read a woman was punched in the face on/near Lordship Lane in an unprovoked attack a week or two ago. Terrifying.
    • We had shutters and roller blind supplied and fitted by Affordable Shutters when we first moved into our house in 2012 and highly recommend them. One of the poles and a couple of shutter staples recently came loose and they scheduled in a visit when they were in the area at no charge. Lovely customer service, great quality, honestly cannot fault their service (shutters are made to measure so you have to wait but they're worth waiting for). https://affordableshutters.co.uk/
