Hi all

As the title said, just wondering if there are any mums (and/or dads)practising Attachment Parenting in and around East Dulwich? Would love to meet up with/hear from other like minded mums. Me, my husband and 13 month old daughter just moved to the area and I'm a SAHM.

Feel free to message me :-)

Pernilla.

I'm sure Bluesuperted will respond but there is an AP group that several people on here go to and they meet regularly. I've only made it to one as I work part time but everyone I've met is lovely!

Welcome to East Dulwich! X

Hey! Thanks Anna :) x

Welcome to ED! There are actually loads of APers around these parts so you've come to a good place! I'm a SAHM of a lively and fun 15month old and into the usual slings, babyled, Cosleeping, breastfeeding stuff. It's ace!

And yes there is quite an active group now, on Facebook and on Meetup.com called South-East London Attachment Parenting Group, really friendly and has regular meets at Tea Dance for Little People in Brockley amongst other things. This month's is tomorrow!! It gets busy as TDLP only has space for 12 families (first come first served and not just APers going along) but I'm going tomorrow and heading back at 12 so my space will be free around then and there might even be space earlier. PM and I can email you my mob or chance your arm and get there for the start of 10am?

Hope to meet you and your little one soon!!

X

Hi all

Thanks for your replies, great to hear there are many of us around. Well, I've seen quite a few slings out and about :-) I'm actually going to the meetup in Brockley today so I might see you there. We just moved here from Clapham and I used to go to the SW meet up group. The ladies there are all lovely and Im sure you lot will be as well :))

Aren't there sling meets this way as well?

I hope to bump in to you soon

    • The problem is not generally with the stores or drivers - who generally are doing the best they can and receive peanuts for each package. (Rumored that Evri will pay only 20-30p to a shop that receives/sends a parcel). The problem is the business model of these courier companies that do not invest in infrastructure or depots, but just outsource everything and set "contractor" drivers impossible targets. https://www.theguardian.com/business/2019/dec/08/christmas-parcel-delivery-drivers-driven-to-the-edge
    • I don’t think that this is a Barry’s-specific issue in the area. I’m constantly having parcels refused for delivery at the InPost lockers outside the Family Store on Upland as well as at the Esso garage by the Rye
    • I was several miles away and I didn't miss it, as apparently didn't lots of others also several miles away. But as I and others reported although we guessed it was fireworks it sounded more like the WWI front line, albeit from a distance!
    • Due to many people's packed social schedules at this time of year, we are giving the December Forum Drinks a miss and restarting at the EDT  in January (if they will have us! I think we have all been well behaved so far!) Wishing everybody  a very happy festive season xxx
