Hi all

We just moved to the area so I'm looking for play groups/activities for my 14 month old daughter. I'm a SAHM and I like to do something every day. So far we have been to Whippersnappers which is great, and to the free groups in Dulwich library which were way too busy for us unfortunately.

My daughter is very spirited (read wild :-D) and I much prefer to let her do her own thing so the groups would have to be pretty free. She is not one for sitting in my lap for a whole session....

Any recommendations would be much appreciated.

Thank you

I have a similarly wild child and I really like All Saints church playgroup, Blenheim Grove, Peckham Rye on Weds am (2 sittings, 10-11:15 and 11:15-1230). It's busy but there are loads of toys and plenty of space. Some (mildly religious) songs at the end but we sometimes only stay for the first 5/10 minutes of songs out of 15 as E loses interest! All very laid back and free with water/tea available as well.

    • Yes I read that too, but also read yesterday that the gvt put pressure on the king to strip Andrew, with the threat of an investigation, which is interesting if true.
    • I didn’t mean to suggest that! I just had an idea that such a regular contributor to a forum about the local area would spot some of the more obvious locations featured in the video, even if they didn’t dig the tune.
    • The next forum drinks will be on Wednesday 19 November from  7pm onwards, in the lounge upstairs at the EDT (The East Dulwich Tavern, on the corner of Lordship Lane by the  Goose Green roundabout). We will have a space in the same area as before (turn right at the top of the stairs and go past the bar). The upstairs bar will be closed, so please buy a drink downstairs before you come up. If you have mobility or other things which make stairs difficult for you, please message me and we can  make arrangements to help. Also please message me if you have any questions. Looking forward to seeing "old" and new faces! Thanks to the EDT for hosting us!
    • From what I have read, the reason given for not doing that is that  it would take up too much government time which would be  better used for more important matters. Whether that's just a convenient excuse, I have no idea.
