In the past I've always had 'good' teeth and, in fact, I only had one filling (when my braces were taken off as a teenager). However, it seems as though my teeth are falling apart since I had Baby Newcomer 18 months ago! I've now had two more fillings and two 'fissions' (or something like that - not quite a filling but a pre-cursor to a filling). Is this linked to pregnancy/childbirth or is it simply a by-product for having less time to spend on my morning/evening routines; or maybe just because I've not been to the dentist as regularly?

Yes, something to do with hormones and your saliva when pregnant makes you more prone to dental and gum problems. I did more cleanings during the years when I was pregnant. Apparently, your gums can bleed more during pregnancy, as well. Although my youngest is now 11 months and pregnancy hormones are well out of my system, I still use something my hygienist calls a Sunday mouth wash which when used once a week helps prevent anything problems. ... I'll find out the name of it and post back.

    • There clearly isn't one but this is a well trodden path that some of us, me included, have been on the receiving end of previously. Some people have been warned about this in the past but, seemingly, never learn.......
    • Really? I made no comment on any of his facial features whatsoever. I observed that he was "expressionless" and suggested that  "if only his face could break out into a smile occasionally then that would help ". These observations refer to behavioural aspects  of Starmer's performance as he appears on the media. Where's the hate and where's the crime?
    • Errr, ever such a knee-jerk response there @malumbu...I am not sure that referring to someone as expressionless is a hate crime - you're making a huge leap with that one and they didn't say they didn't like their facial features - what they are actually being critical of is the lack of use of their facial features.....;-)!
    • Amended my earlier post to take this into account.
