It's practically in Camberwell is where it is. Hmmmm, how it's arranged wrong? Good question, all I know is that I can find what I want in other Sainsburys and in this one I am there for an extra half an our on average looking for things that should be in obvious places.

Um, is there something wrong with your legs? It's next to ED station

Ah, you said you'd just moved to Dulwich (no 'East'). Do you mean the Village? If so, don't worry, you'll soon get fit walking over to all the pubs and restaurants on Lordship lane, then Sainsbuy's won't seem so far.

"Khan's International department Store" on Rye Lane in Peckham (cheaper than Sainsbury) - Indian sub-continent, some middle eastern and african cooking ingredients, cheap fruit/veg, plasticware, cheap kitchen utensils and loads of other stuff. And it's not a 'department store' in the conventional sense, it sells loads of different 'stuff', all on one floor.

Wing Tai Chinese supermarket at Camberwell (opposite McDonalds) or Peckham (near Morrisons). For Thai / Chinese / Indo-Chinese ingredients.

The posts above tell you where to get ordinary groceries closer to home, but here's where you can go to get your foreign gear.

It is in walking distance. About five minutes walk, to be precise.

I am by Woodwarde Road. @Jeremy - it was a neighbour who told me about Somerfield - they said it was on Lordship Lane along with several other posters here. I fail to see how this makes me a WUM!!! But thank you for your kind input.

East Dulwich station is quite a walk - is there really nothing bigger closer? How big is the new Waitrose? Do they do other things to groceries?

I have just moved from Collier's Wood - they have a big Sainsbury's there which does TV's, DVD players, clothes etc as well as the groceries :(

OK, you're not a WUM. Do you really stay clear of Google in case of a nuclear strike?

    • I’m currently conducting exploratory research into menstrual health education in UK secondary schools and would really value the insight of PSHE leads, Heads of Year, or pastoral staff.    The research aims to understand:   How the menstrual cycle is currently taught within the RSHE framework Where schools feel confident — and where there may be gaps Whether students are taught and  asking questions around the full menstrual cycle, symptoms, wellbeing and conditions such as PMS/PMDD or endometriosis How schools support students in feeling empowered to understand their bodies and seek help appropriately Whether education around nutrition, lifestyle, and menstrual wellbeing is currently addressed   The long-term goal is to explore whether there is a need for additional, age-appropriate, medically informed support on the menstrual cycle.  I’m not selling a programme and there is no obligation beyond a 30 minute informal chat online (Unpaid). All conversations will be confidential and used only to inform the research. If you work in a UK secondary school and would be willing to share your perspective, I would be extremely grateful to hear from you.
