Disposal of long life light bulbs

A long life light bulb has just come to the end of its long life.

Does anybody know if these can be recycled in Southwark (and if so where) or if they need to be disposed of in some special place (and if so where), or if they just go in the green bin for landfill?

Looks like southwark do it. I think it's important to recycle energy-saving bulbs because they contain mercury which is notoriously bad for us.

The link takes you nearly there - goto electricals then energy saving light bulbs.

Nowhere nearby. There used to be one at Sainsburys Dog Kennel Hill, then Colyton Rd/Holmstall Rd, but they seem to have gone.
