Hi,

We would like to take our son to an asthma clinic to speak to a sprecialist doctor. We were told by the GP to reduce the preventer inhaler and now we?re away on holiday and our son has had something close to an attack. He is 3 so not diagnosed officially (viral induced wheeze at this age).

Anyway... we have been to the one at Kings but would like to see someone right away. Is there a private clinic anyone can recommend?

Thank you!

Phone your GP for advice? Or you could try phoning 111 to see if they know of any clinics?

Alternatively, King's A&E? They have a children's section.

In the medium term, sounds like it was premature to reduce the preventer inhaler so you could go back to the previous dose/frequency until you can see your GP again?

Thanks. We are out of the country but managed to find a great doctor here and have found a specialist in London to have a good chat with. Thankfully the wheezing has subsided.

We will definitely follow up with our GP too to advise them on the course of action we?ll be following.

    • Suppose it depends on how many Christmas cards from family and friends you’re waiting to receive. It’s been the Christmas period so surely give the post delivery service some leeway. Like Sue I’ve not posted off so many this year but some I still write letters to  e.g my late mum’s cousins and other family  but hey ho that’s something I do and enjoy.  I used to hand deliver Christmas cards to a lot of neighbours on my street but gave up this year as realised that most of them I don’t see or speak to and can only count on a few to call a true friend or neighbour.
