* GONE* 2 x Ercol Windsor elm & beech chairs

A piece of classic Ercol design. The model 400 was in production between 1958 and 1985. These chairs are from the 1960s - there's a marking on the underside of each chair.

The wood of both chairs has been sanded and oiled to give a light sheen finish. Both chair seats are solid elm which has a beautiful grain. Each chair has 4 turned spindles, a low arch back and tapered legs in beech. The chairs are both in excellent condition although there are of course a few scuffs here and there due to their age.

They make excellent kitchen / dining chairs but the pared down elegant shape and clean blonde finish means they work well in other spaces - a hallway, a bedroom, a study...
