Faure Requiem

St Giles' Church in Camberwell will be marking the centenary of the end of World War I with a performance of Faur?'s beautiful Requiem. The concert begins at 6.30pm on Sunday 11th November ? Remembrance Sunday.


The first half of the concert will feature soloists Fae Evelyn (Soprano) and Matthew Duncan (Baritone). Matthew will sing 'Songs from a Shropshire Lad' by George Butterworth and Fae will sings songs by Ivor Gurney and Roger Quilter. The Requiem follows in the second half. The church bells will be rung before the concert as they were 100 years to mark the end of the Great War.

Labour tried to sidestep the full planning process, excluding residents and an environmental impact assessment. For the second week running, their approach has been overturned in Court. It’s an embarrassment for Lambeth Council.
