Looking for a part time, live out, after school nanny starting January. The role will be 5 days a week, from Monday to Friday, all year round. The person should help with cooking meals, cleaning, ironing, etc.

The childcare will involve the following.

? The child needs to be picked up from school at 3:15pm, brought back to the house, bathed & fed.

? Need to ensure she sits down to do her homework & does some reading or plays music every evening.

? During school holidays, the child needs to be picked up from various holiday clubs which will all be in the local area.

? Actively arrange playdates at home ? bring the other child home, feed the other child, etc.

? Our child might need to be picked up from a playdate, taken to the park, etc with class mates.

? Adhoc evening & weekend babysitting with prior arrangement.

? Occasional extra hour or two on short notice depending on our work requirements.

The housekeeping will include:

? Thorough cleaning the house, changing bedsheets & putting out bins on a weekly basis.

? General tidy up on a daily basis & deep cleaning the house on a monthly basis.

? Laundry & Ironing for the whole family.

? Deciding a weekly menu, preparing shopping list, take in grocery delivery & buy missing items or things we have run out of as required.

? Cooking healthy lunches & dinners for the whole family. Need to follow recipes from various cuisines.

? Flexibility & initiative is very important to do adhoc errands.

Hours:

? Start time 3pm at the school in Dulwich village.

? Finish time will depend on what cooking/cleaning/ironing, etc is to be done & what time we get home. Earliest finish time 7pm, could be later depending on the work remaining.

? Adhoc evening & weekend babysitting will increase the hours as we require.

? Minimum 4 hours a day & will be more as described above.

Qualities/requirements:

? Emotional maturity to deal with primary school age children.

? Treat our child with the utmost care, love & respect.

? Local to Dulwich

? CRB/DBS check compulsory

? Should have good references

? Valid visa/work permit or proof of EU/UK citizenship.

? Willing to take bank transfer payment.

? We will not be doing payroll.

? French/Hindi/Tamil speaking bonus but NOT compulsory.

? The person should help with cooking meals, cleaning, ironing, etc, NOT just nannying.

? Cannot bring own child

? We have own parking space if you require, but driving not required for the job itself.

? Must not be on the phone apart from when something needs to be discussed between us about the child or house.

? Non smoking

Something about us:

? We live in Melbourne Grove, east Dulwich, off Lordship Lane, near goose green round about.

? We are a working couple, one of whom travels quite frequently.

? Our 6 year old girl is warm, loving, adjusting & easy to work with as she is quite independent.

? We usually take 5-6 weeks holiday every year.

? residency status in the UK.

? DBS/CRB check

? first aid

    • Yes,I presumed so , but having been unable to find one ,I thought I'd ask on here.
    • Sorry to hear that, New Wave. I hope you find something soon. I genuinely had this situation in Superdrug on the south coast yesterday. I was buying their own version of E45 cream (it's about a third of the cost) and they asked if I had my Superdrug card with me. I didn't. Who does?  But they were able to apply the appropriate discount to my purchase due to them having my mobile phone number and email on record.  You can fill in any old bollocks for the loyalty card. I found it quite funny when they asked me to confirm that I was Dr. Dave Dave, of Dave Road, Dave, London, SE15 5DV. I'm actually not a real doctor!
    • With gym memberships, it depends how often you go and how much you get out of it. If you go 3 times a week or lose 10kg in a year, that's a bargain. If you never go, it's incredibly expensive. There are people who will happily spend £50 2-3 times a week at the pub or on takeaway food or coffees over the course of a week or leasing a car. Whether it's worth it is up to you. 🤷‍♂️
    • Also, if you keep receipts but don't have a card, they will give you the discounts you would have had. Probably a good idea to take the receipts in at a quiet time, though 🤣
