Hello!

My name is Eve Annesley, I am an undergraduate student of anthropology at SOAS, University of London, living in the local area.

For my final year of my degree, I am doing a dissertation research project about doulas. I want to explore whether doulas can have the capacity to create spaces of agency and empowerment in women's experiences of childbirth, and how doula care might contrast with, or even challenge, hospital models of birth. I am looking for mothers who have chosen to enlist a birth doula, and who might be willing to talk to me about their experiences. I am trying to make my project a collection of individual women's stories, so that it can be as collaborative as possible. Everything put into my written dissertation will be anonymised and your confidentiality will be protected.

If this sounds like something you might be interested in, or you would like to know more, I would love to hear from you!

Thanks!

Eve

    • Another recommendation for Niko. Great communication, top guy, and super reliable and skilled - all at a fair price. Takes a lot of care in what he does and talks you through everything.
    • Some foxes are very tame. The foxes that live near the electricity sub-station thing on the corner of Calton and Woodwarde will happily walk up to you/passed you. They are some of the best looking foxes around so clearly being well-fed - glorious coats and bushy tails but interested in humans and keen to engage/be fed rather than being scared.
