Dodo1
However when I plug it into the DVD Recorder i get some of the digitital channels including picture. What do you think has gone wrong? Do I need a new TV? Or do I have to get used to not watching BBC1/2? camberwell70
You can always close your eyes and pretend its a radio. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/21175-tv-has-no-picture-but-sound/#findComment-510789 Share on other sites
Alan Medic
Perhaps you could provide a bit more info like what is the source of your TV pictures in the first place. Is it an aeriel? ianr
> You can always close your eyes and pretend its a radio. Not such a bad idea actually. Quite a large part of my TV consumption is listening to it via a Freeview box whicle doing something else. It's not nearly as information-dense in the speech department as radio is.Dodo1, my first quick cheap guess would be that you need to change a menu setting, to switch from DVD to digital TV input. I won't indulge in any more, as there's no real substitute for a precise account of all signs and symptoms and the beast's reactions to your actions. Dodo1
HiYes input is from tv aerial. I noticed last night that when i put the Freeview on (via the DVD Recorder) I get BBC1 and 2 but not Channel 4 (or ITV I think). Huguenot
Are you joealessi in disguise? ;-)It's just a setting. These things are invariably solved by being systematic. I'm guessing there's a right mess between those signals you're taking through different channels and inputs, and those inputs you have applied to different outputs.Unplug everything.Really, EVERYTHING.That means the DVD too. Then just plug your TV back into the power socket and the aerial, and DO NOT PLUG THE DVD IN UNTIL THE TV IS WORKING NORMALLY. :)) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/21175-tv-has-no-picture-but-sound/#findComment-510853 Share on other sites
