Happy New Year all.

Just wondered if anyone can recommend groups/classes for my 13 month old son? He likes making a racket and running around, so preferably something that would stimulate him...and make a change from rhymetime!

I know there's plenty on, would just like to hear people's experience of this age group, as I feel we're entering toddler territory now.

Thanks in advance.

At this age my daughter enjoyed group called Messy Play and Treasure Baskets. I think it's at Bessemer Grange chn centre now. There's sand-water, toys books and different messy activities every week. Also Stay and Play Monday afternoons at the Albrighton Centre was a really friendly welcoming group. Swimming and Peckham Rye 1 o clock were also popular. I've heard great things about Sing and Sign and Tumbletots but the days didn't fit in with my non working days. Hope this helps a bit.
At this age with my eldest we did sing and sign, swimming, tumbletots and started to try a couple of playgroups. There's Gymboree in herne hill which sounds good too. Tried little bubbles but it seemed to require too much sitting still...not something my then 18m old fancied much (and at nearly three still doesnt!).

Hi,

We are a toddle and parent group that run 2 sessions on a Tuesday morning at green dale, Dulwich.

Our sessions run from 9.30-10.30 and 10.45-11.45. Our first session is free come along and try us out.

    • It should be easy enough to point out to anyone even thinking of voting reform that should they take power they will have no impact. And will make things worse.  And if people think politicians break promises now and reform are a breath of fresh air then they ain’t seen nothing yet  but they won’t really care about immigration if reform do win  uk used to be about law and order and now we have dim talking heads everywhere unchallenged going “leave the ECHR, stuff the judges, just do it!!”   like life is that simple sweeties
    • I have been reliably informed that it's not the same group.
    • my bet is it's the same group and no amount of talking to is going to make a difference.
    • Definitely not intended  to come across as "gleeful". Quite the opposite, because developments such as this will only encourage extreme right-wingers such as Reform. And heaven help us if they ever formed a government. It's incumbent on Labour to come up with an effective  policy to "smash the gangs" otherwise we are facing Farage and his gang further down the road.
