Hello, my son is 4 and he really seems into music and anything with a rhythm. He can pick up the tune to a song and the words the first time he hears it. Neither my husband nor myself have a musical bone in our bodies, so no idea what to suggest or how to nurture this. Is there anyone out there offering beginner musical classes for young children? I am open to anything. Private or mixed group. Is there a particular instrument that is good/fun/easy to learn?
I can recommend an amazing Suzuki piano teacher in Nunhead - that sounds perfect for him because it focuses on playing by ear before learning to read music. And the method is suitable for young children. She?s called Natalie: [email protected]

    • This thread should be updated with a new title. "Is Keith Starmer Toast?"    I would say yes. This is as bad as when Boris Johnson ignored Chris Pincher's behaviour. And Starmer piled in very heavily on Johnson for that. If he doesn't resign himself now he is an enormous hypocrite and this will be very damaging  indeed.
    • Yep Peter Mandelson is officially toast.  But what now MUST happen is that the title of Lord and all the privileges which go with that should be removed immediately. It's a long way up the pole but it's an even longer way back down as Mandelson is finding out.
    • Christ. When the licence fee is under such scrutiny, this doesn't seem like a great time to spend cash exhuming this pair of swivel-eyed loons, even for comedy value. Spoiler alert: Boudicca Rising (!) left Tony.
