eastdulwichavenger
A self-check out in M&S means that you scan the items yourself, it doesn?t mean shout at the poor attendant because you want her to scan your items. She still nicely scanned them and was so polite despite you screaming in her face. You just ruined someone?s day, please grow up. Growlybear
I wonder what the chances are of the woman concerned reading this? If you were so concerned by her behaviour, perhaps it might have been more effective to speak to her at the time! eastdulwichavenger
Thanks for your concern but I did speak to her at the time. I think despite how your day is going there is a level of poiliteness that you uphold with members of the public. Designerjooles
Despite yes: politeness is a preferred state within the community - many disabilities are hidden and perhaps there was additional issues going on.Dementia, Autism just to name two often mean supermarkets can be hella scary and just the need to get something to eat can be terrifying.I know it can be uncomfortable to witness, but all is often not what it seems, and in this light we all need as much compassion as we can muster on a day to day basis. PeckhamRose
So does that mean we have to put up with people shoving pushing screaming shouting thieving bullying and generally exhibiting appalling behaviour no matter their age - because there might be something wrong with them? Those who have nothing wrong with them except poor upbringing - or indeed great upbringing and a sense of entitlement which they find they don't now have - will realise they can continue behaving like that unchallenged. No thanks! Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/214493-to-the-lady-in-east-dulwich-ms/#findComment-1311126 Share on other sites
