How are you accessing the system online? I can get in to the booking system via both the MyGP and Patient Access apps, but I get a popup for both saying all appointments are booked and to contact the surgery if you need urgent care. Maybe that is why you can't see anything?

You definitely could book appointments via the two apps I mention last year. But I've just gone to the website and got this pop up notice which suggests things may have changed:

From 14th January our appointment system will be changing.

Should you require an emergency appointment , please phone between 8:00 am and 10:00 am. The receptionist team will take some details and GP will phone you back. If you require a routine appointment, these will be available up o[sic] two weeks in advance. Phone after 10 am in order to book

This sounds like you can only book by phone now.

Sidhue - yes by MyGP and PatientAccess . I've read that pop up notice - it didn't occur to me that this meant no more on line booking .Perhaps it does .But...madness to go back to everyone ringing up surely ?

Although I booked an appt on line a few weeks ago ,with said pop up in place .

    • Diwali starts 12th October. Is there any way to predict where and when fireworks will be going off? We also have November 5th, Halloween and then New Year and Chinese New Year. Given the availability of low noise fireworks, does anyone else think it is anti social to let off the noisy kind?
    • if you have safeguarding concerns, please contact social services. Unfortunately, financial abuse of the elderly is an ongoing problem. In my professional life I investigated a large number of cases where the elderly person lived alone and was befriended by helper/carer/gardener/ church visitor etc.  However, this may not be the case in this instance.
    • Was shopping in the big Tesco the other day, got to the tills to find all the staff on the manual tills had gone home and that there was only ONE automatic cash machine actually working. Massive queue, each customer was taking over 10 minutes which was extended by individual complaints of clubcard offers not being honoured and the staff blindly telling the customers they were lying and said customers having to prove themselves by walking to the shelves where the offers are clearly displayed. Even more infuriating when one woman hogged the machine for half an hour and paid with card! On the only working cash machine! Told the staff, no apology, he just rolled his eyes and walked off. Absolutely ridiculous.
