Is anyone here old enough to have arranged a 21st birthday party for their son/daughter?I will be soon. That is, old enough to have a 21 year old who has a birthday.

He's not particularly fussy about this sort of thing but I'd like to surprise him with something for him and his friends. I don't really know who they are apart from his best one who he knows since primary school.

There are limitations though, otherwise I'd be hiring a private jet and telling him to take his friends to where ever for the w/end.So, basically, what's cheap but not tacky? Hire of a room above a pub with a DJ for example. What costs might this incur if done locally?

As parents we would love to attend (I'm presuming my other half would) but frankly it would be his night and who wants their parents hanging around while they get pissed?

So any local area suggestions would be gratefully received.

Me neither Katie and I was one of eight. Mind you the eldest had a big do..........we were sent to stay in the hotel as we were too young. She was the only girl though.

I'm sure this thread will attract the right kind in due course...........

PS Have you tried a new thread yourself yet? It's like your life flashing before you depending what letter you put in.

Well I'm the eldest and the only girl...I missed out for sure.

I think there's loads of places to choose from around here, just give em a call about the celebration and see if they can do something that suits you?

Was at a birthday do at the black cherry which was fab, lovely nibbles and drinks and a dance floor for later!

And will make things worse.  And if people think politicians break promises now and reform are a breath of fresh air then they ain’t seen nothing yet  but they won’t really care about immigration if reform do win  uk used to be about law and order and now we have dim talking heads everywhere unchallenged going “leave the ECHR, stuff the judges, just do it!!”   like life is that simple sweeties
