That's all well and good Gardenman, but how far should I cut back my Buddleia knowing there might be a cold snap coming, is the real dilemma. Are you going to post your useful tips this year?...

Cut it hard back, diable rouge, never mind the cold snap, they are tough as old boots :))

Yes I cut mine right back last year before that cold snap...it flowered even better this year- I think some plants benefit from a cold shock

Yes, cut your Buddleia back hard & give it some shape, cut back to a bud & do it anytime between now & end of February

Mind you, they are very tolerant.
