Architect for extension above kitchen

I can recommend John Ryan of Braidwood Building. He has done a lot of work for us over the years. He did a wrap round extension for us and fitted our kitchen . His work is really fantastic and he was able to put us in touch with a recommended architect and structural engineer etc. He has done lots of extensions in the area and showed us examples before we started. He is a real perfectionist an we have been really happy with all the work he has done for us and particularly the extension. You can reach him on 0208 777 0712 / 07970490918.

Sorry this probably a bit too late but am posting just in case is still of use. On the recommendation of forum members we have been using the services of Stephen Butt of lendelstephens architects. He has just finished the whole process of helping us plan and tender for the redesign, extension and renovation of our very dilapidated house on a corner plot in East Dulwich. As many of you have said before he is very easy to work with, comes up with great ideas but always makes sure you are the one who has the final say. His previous experience of dealing with Southwark council was invaluable in enabling us to negotiate planning permission as was his support in dealing with some tricky party wall agreement negotiations. His eye for detail and previous experience in managing large scale contracts was essential in managing the tendering process and finding us a builder who we feel we can trust and at a price that we can afford. Living in Nunhead with an office in Peckham Levels has also made keeping in touch very easy. Stephen?s contact details are: [email protected], 07825 698749 ? website www.lendelstephens.com

Hi there

We are a local architecture and interior design practice based in East Dulwich/Camberwell. We work with John Ryan listed above who is an excellent builder with a high quality finish and great attention to detail. The key to successful projects is communication and working with John is always a pleasure and simple process.

We are happy to make initial visits to review a site and discuss the potential of a project with clients free of charge. Please feel free to call and we would be happy to assist you at [email protected] or my contact above.

    • "2.2.1 The Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB) has undertaken a comprehensive consultation process with its residents and stakeholders regarding the proposed development which aims to create 41 additional units and has been designed to address the growing demand for accessible and supportive accommodation for individuals with visual impairments. 2.2.2 The consultation process has been a key part of the planning phase, ensuring that the needs and preferences of current residents are taken into account. RNIB has held several meetings, workshops, and surveys to gather feedback on the design, facilities, and overall impact of the new development. Residents have been encouraged to share their views on various aspects, including accessibility features, communal spaces, and the integration of the new blocks with the existing infrastructure which has directly informed the proposals. 2.2.3 The Applicant also engaged with the local MP, Helen Hayes, and a couple of local councillors at the behest of RNIB tenants to provide new homes to promote independent living for its Blind and Partially Sighted residents"     Seems like a very sensible and necessary proposal to me.
    • Is this the home for the blind and partially sighted at the south end of Underhill?
    • Sorry, yes, you can park but it's unlikely you will find a space. I meant to say 'you can't park with any certainty' - and if you go past Stradella Road getting back to where you can park is a bit of a bind.
