Hello Good People of ED

I?m looking for someone reliable who can fix the corner connector of the down pipe coming down from the gutter. It just fell off. I have the glue and tape but need someone with a long ladder to get up there and replace it.

I also need an electrician to fix a few things:

1. Outside light sensor, keeps staying on and not activating with motion

2. Lights in outside office need looking at as pushing one switch turns on the wrong light

3. Underfloor heating in bathroom is not working properly

Please no cowboys, just need someone reliable and reasonably priced.

Thanks

Re electrician, Gary Vu never fails. He does the big stuff (sorted out a mess of electrics builders left in a part demolishment/rebuild of the back of an extension so it could be passed by building control) and the small- bathroom fans, electrical safety certificates for my rented place, everything. All the work he has done for me over the last five years has been great. His prices are in line with ED, ie not cheap, but you get the job done to a high standard.

    • DKH was two form entry, it is now one form entry to cope with the fact it was far more under subscribed than other schools in the area. They had actually combined year groups into single classes, 3/4 and 5/6.  When a school changes name, it’s usually because of a bad reputation perhaps the results.  The new name is dry with no history unlike its current name. It’s a very sketchy decision. It’s an expensive vanity project for someone.  What  will happen if the name change does not increase applications to the school?
    • @first mate I assume Alice made a mistake, as she removed her reaction.  I was wondering about park wardens. As I said, there was one there last night, who was incredibly helpful and proactive. As well as bringing me to the police, he caught up with a young guy on a bike who'd earlier been the victim of an attempted theft by these kids and linked him up with the police too. But I do wonder, as I've only very occasionally seen him riding around, how many they have and what hours they patrol. I've no doubt they'd be a strong deterrent if they had a better presence. They were nowhere to be seen the first time around.  Update: I've just found this: https://services.southwark.gov.uk/community-safety/community-wardens The guy in the photo at the bottom of the page was the lovely warden of last night and I've just now remembered him telling me he's based in Burgess Park. Anyway, there needs to be more of them, as I rarely see one in Peckham.
