The Hive delivers Accredited Forest School Training that focuses on innovative ways to engage children in Forest School, particularly in urban environments where access to outdoor space is constrained.

Our Taster Sessions are designed to give participants a taste of the richness and creativity of Forest School learning. They offer an opportunity to meet our trainers, explore the training venue and get a better understanding of what Forest School training entails.

The day is split into 4 sessions:

An introduction to the ethos and principles behind Forest School

A chance to try your hand at some of the practical skills: fire lighting, den building, hand tools

A short outdoor lunch cooked over the fire

An opportunity to have a go at Forest School woodland crafts

Cost: ?20

    • I'm a bit of an architecture geek and I must confess I find it one of the most gimmicky ugly redesigns I've seen in a while. I'm always open to quirky but this is just not nice in any way shape or form.

    • Another recommendation for Niko. Great communication, top guy, and super reliable and skilled - all at a fair price. Takes a lot of care in what he does and talks you through everything.
    • Some foxes are very tame. The foxes that live near the electricity sub-station thing on the corner of Calton and Woodwarde will happily walk up to you/passed you. They are some of the best looking foxes around so clearly being well-fed - glorious coats and bushy tails but interested in humans and keen to engage/be fed rather than being scared.
