I want to highly recommend this company in my own personal experience and also advocate for cleaner energy. This week I've just received this email from my Green Energy provider called Bulb Energy which is great to see especially for the environment:

?Ric, you're a climate change hero! By being with us, You're saving 3,085 kg of CO2 every year. That's the weight of an orca.

Which is equivalent to planting 1,543 trees.

With over 950,000 members, our community is saving 1.4 million tonnes of CO2 each year. That's like planting 722 million trees!?

On top of that, I think are cheapest provider I found last year?and I still think they are cheaper than the big companies?and if you use my own link to join them: they will credit you ?50 on your account:

Benefits:

1. They will pay your exit fee up to ?120 to switch to them

2. They provide 100% green electric and 10% of GAS is green energy

3. You can leave when you like, no exit fee with them

4. Their rate is very competitive, if not cheaper than most, certainly better than the big 6

5. Get ?50 credit when you join with my link: bulb.co.uk/refer/ricardob1020

6. They are a modern company, so dealing with them is easy, and they want to bring cheaper, greener energy to the masses.

Drawbacks:

1. The rate is variable, so they did raise prices once in my 9 months at the time all the other energy companies raised the prices a lot. The raise was only ?0.55 per month and communicated this to me well in advance. Having said that, they lowered my standing cost a few months shaving off ?15 a year, so actually I would say really, no drawbacks.

I?ve been with British Gas, Npower and EDF, but in my opinion, Bulb are modern, easy to deal with, and very communicative in terms of emails they send.

Things to Note:

1. I live in a flat, so have electricity only, not Gas.

2. I will also get a credit if you use my link, but feel free to check them out for yourselves. But I think just switching to green energy is of most benefit to the environment, and they fact they are doing it cheaper than others, it just makes total sense...in my humble opinion.

Switching only takes a few mins, and you could be saving and helping the planet, so worth having a look.

Here?s my referral link again which you must click to take you to the join link if you join without clicking this link, neither gets out credit: bulb.co.uk/refer/ricardob1020

Thanks

Ric

I'm very uncomfortable, for the reasons set out in the attached, with the idea of the forum's being used to help a single poster make money.

I'm asking Admin to remove this thread, as was done with the previous one, or to edit out the link. In the meantime, I suggest that every other Bulb user posts their own referral code here. I'm not going to post mine here, but if anyone wants to pm me for it and I give it to you, I'll also provide eventual evidence of my passing ?50 to a charity of your choice. The ?100, btw, was I believe offered to customers who'd been with the company for a year, instead of the standard ?50.

Ian, I listed all the benefits I could, and the drawback, people are free to make up their own mind. If ppl do switch, they will do so for saving money for themselves and going green to help the planet. If as an added benefit, u can get some credit, what?s the harm?

As I started my post: they emailed me an email showing how good my carbon footprint is, I was impressed and decided to share the love. If more ppl join for cleaner energy what is the harm? If the credit is an added incentive for more ppl to go green, what is the harm???

    • Hi all, Not sure if this is the correct place to ask but I am looking for someone in the local area who can make a cake/ cupcakes for my event? Thank you in advance!
    • I’ve just seen this notice for extending DYL’s but I’m confused as to how long the extension will be. Is it going to be from LL to no.2 Bawdale Road? Or 3M from no 2 Bawdale Road? i) add new lengths or extend existing lengths of ‘DYLs’ (i) in ASTBURY ROAD west side opposite Nos. 3 and 5 Astbury Road (5m), (ii) in BAWDALE ROAD on both sides south-east of its junction with Lordship Lane (22m on the side of No. 157 Lordship Lane, 3m o/s No. 2 Bawdale Road, and 10m opposite No.2 Bawdale Road),
    • If they're not sure they should at least be able to provide a range: reasonably best and worst case scenarios.  It's embarrassing.
    • I would report this to the police - the footage is excellent and he's pretty distinguishable. This won't be his first time doing this and it will help police link him to other crimes by cross-matching your CCTV to other surveillance. Definitely contact them.
