This ride starts at 10am and finishes two hours later at Canada Water Library (Deal porter Square, opposite Canada Water Station, SE16 7AR). There's a good lift at Canada Water Station which takes three bikes at a time and is on the Overground. No lift at all at Peckham Rye just lots of horrible steps. But the platforms are walk-on, walk-off at East Dulwich which has a good connection to the Overground at Peckham Rye. Of course you can cycle to the start. It's not far and very quiet.

This is one of the usual easy-paced two-hour rides on mostly quiet streets and paths. The plan is to ride from Canada Water to Greenwich via the Thameside cycle path and cross via the Foot Tunnel by the Cutty Sark. Then to Trinity BW via Mudchute Park and Canary Wharf.?Trinity Buoy Wharf bills itself as "Docklands most exciting arts quarter" and is nevertheless very nice. Lots of history and (my favourite) the Fat Boys Diner (see pic).

The route back follows CS3, crosses at Tower Bridge and takes the usual Thameside route to Canada Water.? Amanda will be leading. Everyone welcome. I haven't got the route, sorry.

These rides are a series organised by Bruce Lynn and friends on behalf of Southwark Cyclists -- billed as Healthy Rides there's nothing medicinal about them at all and they are all hugely safe and enjoyable. Southwark Cyclists is the borough branch of the London Cycling Campaign which campaigns for safer cycling in London. Everything we do is free and as welcoming as we can make it. To join in you don't need to join anything or live anywhere (though I hope you do). For more info text Bruce on 07729 279 945 or PM me here. Or just turn up.

    • Yes, we have a Casio CT-S100 we no longer need, except I dont think we have the headphones any more. It has a USB connection. £50? https://www.argos.co.uk/product/7333639
    • Thank you! She is both spayed and microchipped, and reported missing on Petlog and with the vets.   She normally never goes out the front, certainly for never more than 10-15 minutes, so this is definitely new territory for her. There is lots of dense foliage across the road so there are plenty of places she could be hiding if she is spooked, so we are hoping she will come back when she is calm. The weather isn't helping, she never goes out in the rain. Thank you again!
    • Hi, Have you been letting her out the front door onto the street or would this be a first & therefore unfamiliar with the area? Does she respond to a name & is she spayed & microchipped? Our team carry scanners on our daily routes & will of course be looking our for her. I hope you are reunited with her soon. If not already, notify your street & surrounding streets (find out if they have Whatsapp groups) Dox will print & deliver free missing posters https://www.doxdirect.com/help/free-missing-pet-posters/ Call her at dusk & dawn when street & foot traffic is at its lowest.
